About the role

The Information Technology Cybersecurity Co-Op/Intern program at Mosaic Company provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance domains. Students will work on projects that include monitoring security alerts, supporting incident response, and participating in architecture and engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and incidents
  • Support incident response activities and documentation
  • Maintain and improve security tools and dashboards
  • Evaluate and test security tools and technologies
  • Audit secure configurations and conduct vulnerability assessments
  • Contribute to automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
  • Support risk assessments and compliance audits
  • Document policies, standards, and procedures
  • Manage third-party risk evaluations
  • Contribute to cybersecurity awareness activities
  • Investigate insider risks and support threat intelligence
  • Manage threat intelligence platforms and data feeds
  • Support vulnerability management workflows
  • Communicate with various organizational levels
  • Participate in department meetings and project-specific meetings

Requirements

  • Sophomore level or above pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Machine Learning
  • 2.75 GPA or higher
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (volunteering, work with student/school organizations, or internships)
  • Previous internship or co-op experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Full-time commitment while being a student
  • Basic computer skills
  • Teamwork experience
  • Familiarity with an industrial environment
  • Effective verbal communication skills

  • Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns, or materials
  • Able to hear, with or without correction
