About the role

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career‑ and client‑oriented Information Warfare Solutions Developer to join the team in Stafford, VA. In this role you will provide expertise toward advancing the understanding, adoption, and deployment of innovative Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Warfare (EW), Cyber Operations, and Information Warfare (IW) solutions in support of the Nation’s Defense. Initiatives are executed optimally using modern technical approaches, strong project‑management discipline, and viable technical pathways to tackle operational problems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal technical advisor and engineer for IW research and development projects, evaluating technical approaches, defining integration pathways for operational use of advanced IW technologies, and ensuring alignment with Marine Corps and Department of War capability development activities, standards, and operational priorities.
  • Develop small‑ to large‑scale prototype capabilities using advanced techniques (e.g., coding, automation, artificial intelligence) for sensing, targeting, automation, and decision‑support operational and tactical capabilities, while actively managing project plans, budgets, and resources through rapid development sprints and open‑source frameworks.
  • Conduct in‑depth analyses to identify critical shortfalls across SIGINT, EW, Cyber, and IW workflows and mission systems; formulate actionable courses of action, develop targeted technical solutions, and present data‑driven recommendations to leadership to resolve complex, high‑stakes operational deficiencies.
  • Assess project proposals for technical feasibility and efficiency in alignment with capability gaps, providing hands‑on support for internal initiatives that bridge Marine Intelligence Program (MIP) and non‑MIP capability gaps.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between organizational and external stakeholders to synchronize advanced technical capabilities development, delivery roadmaps, and performance metrics that inform strategic leadership investment decisions.
  • Implement and oversee risk‑management processes within the IW capabilities domain to identify and mitigate technical, operational, and integration risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, chemistry, mathematics, data science/data engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Warfare (EW) or Cyber Operations, including 5 + years of verifiable, hands‑on engineering and development experience building and deploying practical system and software solutions for mission‑specific needs.
  • Experience with software/model development, data pipelines, systems integration, and prototyping at the tactical level, with a strict focus on applied engineering rather than theoretical research.
  • Working knowledge of Department of War digital platforms and software solutions, including enterprise implementations and operational/tactical systems at both unclassified and classified levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning concepts—algorithm development, analysis, model training, evaluation, and deployment—applicable to IW at sufficient depth to engage with technical SMEs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing and delivering briefings and decision memos to senior government personnel (General Officers, Senior Enlisted, Senior Executive Service/Civilians) using common business tools and applications.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks with keen attention to detail, functioning effectively both independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying and integrating advanced techniques and solutions toward technical intelligence mission sets.
  • Background in developing solutions for signals analysis and processing.
  • Experience with DoD experimentation and RDT&E initiatives, rapid acquisition, or transition processes.
  • Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps systems, operations, and organizations.
  • Prior military service or direct support to operational units.
  • Experience supporting or leading large, multi‑organization interdisciplinary technical teams.

Clearance Requirements

Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.

Physical Requirements

Physically capable of supporting field exercises, including lifting up to 50 lb, traversing rugged terrain, and traveling via military tactical vehicles, ships, and aircraft. Must be able to remain in a stationary/desk position 50 % of the time and communicate with co‑workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual communication, which may involve delivering briefings or presentations.
