Information Technology System Engineer

About the role

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions (QDSS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering capabilities and ensure the delivery of mission-critical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace, defense, and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of engineering processes and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including AS9100.
• Collaborate with product development teams to translate customer needs into technical specifications and designs.
• Manage the engineering budget and resource allocation to optimize project outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and support staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects.
• Experience with AS9100 and other relevant industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of engineering design software and tools.
• Understanding of quality management systems and ISO standards.

Pay

$180,000 - $220,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
