About the role
Quest Defense Systems and Solutions (QDSS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering capabilities and ensure the delivery of mission-critical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace, defense, and related fields.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of engineering processes and procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including AS9100.
- Collaborate with product development teams to translate customer needs into technical specifications and designs.
- Manage the engineering budget and resource allocation to optimize project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and support staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical).
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects.
- Experience with AS9100 and other relevant industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of engineering design software and tools.
- Understanding of quality management systems and ISO standards.

Pay
$180,000 - $220,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
