Hourly, part-time position in Blacksburg, Virginia. Emergency Hire opportunities are limited to 130 calendar days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to server support, systems administration, and end-users relating to computer and/or networking problems
- Identify and analyze software and network-related problems and recommend solutions
- Assist users in maintaining their desktop computing environment
- Troubleshoot web and e-mail problems
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
- Design and edit websites
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent related experience
- Demonstrated computer troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Experience with various programming languages
- Experience with HTML
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment
