About the role

Fuel innovation and deliver war-winning capabilities for the United States Air Force as an Information Technology Specialist (Sys Analysis) within the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize cyber, IT, and knowledge management systems in compliance with Air Force and DoD regulations.
  • Integrate emerging technologies to enhance application efficiency and mission performance.
  • Lead multi-disciplined teams, coordinate complex policies with external agencies, and build strategic relationships with senior leadership and contractors.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor, providing procurement oversight, executing lifecycle cost analyses, and preparing funding justifications.
  • Lead specialized IT projects and acquisitions, resolve technical conflicts, and brief executive management on strategic IT plans.
  • Provide oversight of multiple IT projects, integrating schedules, deliverables, lifecycle management, and program governance.
  • Identify, engage, and monitor relationships with individuals and groups connected to IT work and development efforts.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of IT assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing IT projects and resources.
  • Knowledge of coordinated IT program management.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • May be a designated drug testing position.
  • Must obtain APDP Engineering & Technical Management Level 1 Foundational and Level 2 Practitioner certifications within the required training period and maintain continuous learning points.
  • Required to achieve and maintain foundational and residential qualifications in specified DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) work roles and proficiency levels per DAFMAN 17-1305.
