INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II
About the role
The Information Technology Specialist II (IT Specialist II) is primarily responsible for the implementation, administration, and analysis of the most complex network infrastructure systems. They lead enterprise-wide network system implementation projects and are responsible for network maintenance and operations, software and hardware configurations, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the enterprise network systems in accordance with government, industry, and service management policies and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes IT Service Management best practices to lead enterprise-wide network system implementation projects.
- Responsible for network maintenance and operations, software and hardware configurations to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the enterprise network systems.
- Manages change and trouble tickets with vendors.
- Designs and reviews network and network security.
- Researches network infrastructure and security technologies and trends.
- Analyzes the most complex network and security events, remediates them, and reports findings.
- Performs network and security event analysis, remediation, and reporting.
- May travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the minimum qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification. This includes having a bachelor's degree and relevant experience in information technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
Knowledge of IT Service Management best practices, network infrastructure and security technologies, and the ability to analyze and remediate complex network and security events are essential. Proficiency in network configuration and management tools is also required.

Pay
$8,625.00 - $11,557.00 per year.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 20% in-office attendance required.
