About the Role

This position supervises staff in the District Five Office of Information Technology, focusing on communication, motivation, training, evaluation, and workload planning. The role oversees IT operations, including computer networks, software, telecommunications, and security systems, while managing budgets, projects, and compliance with service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees, including planning workloads, setting deadlines, and providing training and direction.
• Recommend hiring, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and other personnel matters for subordinate employees.
• Oversee the support of computer networks, personal computers, software applications, and phone communication systems.
• Analyze, approve, and coordinate installations and modifications of new and existing computer systems, including equipment moves.
• Prepare and monitor IT budgets, including budget issues, purchasing activities, and fund tracking.
• Plan, organize, manage, and track IT projects; update and maintain the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Project and Task Tracker Site.
• Oversee provisioning of access to system resources, specialized security, and applications for authorized users.
• Maintain security-related file records and documentation, following established security processes.
• Support emergency and disaster recovery plans; may use an Emergency Purchasing Card for emergency purchases.
• Monitor compliance with service level agreements and ensure timely resolution of Service Desk tickets.
• Participate in statewide IT teams, both internal and external, to share information and advise users on changes to IT standards.
• Review requests for IT resources and advise the user community on Departmental IT standards.

Pay

Annual salary range: $88,931.95 - $115,088.40. Anticipated bi-weekly hiring salary: $4,024.07 ($104,625.82 annually).
