Information Technology Manager

About the role
The IT Manager is responsible for maintaining the hardware and software of Faena New York’s computing environment. This role handles both technical and administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and efficiency of IT systems, working with owners and the hotel management company’s Information Systems Leads to evaluate equipment, explore alternatives, and recommend improvements. The ideal candidate will serve as the direct link between hotel employees, guests, and IT-related issues, providing technology solutions and collaborating with third-party software companies to adopt and optimize new and existing technologies.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Provides support for hotel guests, staff, and all areas of the hotel in technological matters.
- Anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges all guests (resident and transient).
- Installs, tests, and configures new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Assists with PC setup, IT systems, and access for onboarding new users.
- Resolves guest complaints to enhance the guest experience and ensure satisfaction.
- Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Remains accessible by telephone or email.
- Collaborates with Housekeeping and Engineering departments.
- Monitors completion of work orders submitted.
- Attends and participates in pre-shift meetings, briefings, and trainings as assigned.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of specified hotel information, correspondence, reports, and files.
- Ensures hardware and software are kept at current release levels where applicable.
- Provides telecommunication and internet support for administrative users and guests.
- Coordinates with vendors to ensure timely implementation of projects, hardware, software, and system maintenance.
- Plans and sets targets for problem resolutions.
- Maintains current inventory records of all hardware products, software licenses, and maintenance agreements.
- Manages the security of designated areas and confidentiality of all relevant information and documents.
- Oversees the appropriate retirement of computing assets.
- Establishes and maintains disaster recovery policies and procedures for hotel systems.
- Ensures all policies and procedures are followed in accordance with set standards.
- Stays up-to-date and evaluates existing and new hardware and software configurations, making suggestions for improvements.
- Identifies areas for improvement in existing systems and procedures with new software and hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years in the same or a similar position.
- Experience in the information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work diplomatically and cooperatively.
- Ability to multitask and function in a high-paced environment.
- Hospitality experience is necessary.
Pay
This full-time position offers an annual compensation of $125,000.
