Information Technology (IT) Coordinator
About the role
The IT Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting all technology systems and IT operations at Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School (LLACS). This role ensures that all hardware, software, networks, and systems function properly and securely. The IT Coordinator supervises two IT staff members, manages daily IT operations, maintains network infrastructure, oversees the E-Rate program, supports budgeting activities, and leads technology-related projects and improvements.
Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and manage two IT staff members
Assign daily tasks and monitor workload
Ensure timely response and resolution of IT issues
Maintain IT procedures and documentation
Promote consistent customer service standards across IT support
Install, configure, and maintain network systems, including wired and wireless networks
Monitor system performance, uptime, and security
Troubleshoot network, connectivity, and system issues
Coordinate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and system maintenance
Maintain network hardware and infrastructure lifecycle planning
Manage all E-Rate applications, compliance, and reimbursement processes
Maintain required documentation and records
Work with vendors and service providers during funding cycles
Ensure deadlines and program requirements are met
Help plan and implement technology upgrades and system improvements
Review and recommend new technology tools and systems
Support infrastructure upgrades and IT projects
Identify opportunities to improve system performance and reduce costs
Aid in developing and tracking the IT budget
Support purchasing decisions for hardware, software, and services
Monitor spending and ensure alignment with budget plans
Identify cost-saving opportunities, including E-Rate funding
Provide end-user support for staff and users
Manage device setup, deployment, inventory, and replacement cycles
Maintain cybersecurity practices and system protections
Enforce acceptable use and security policies
Maintain accurate system and asset documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, or related field required
3 years of IT experience with increasing responsibility
2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
E-Rate Experience preferred
Strong experience with network infrastructure preferred
Experience in multi-site environments preferred
Skills and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, networking equipment, and wireless systems
Understanding of cybersecurity practices and data protection
Experience with cloud systems, endpoint management, and IT support tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work with vendors, staff, and leadership teams
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds
Ability to work on-site and move between buildings if needed
Ability to stand, sit, and work at a computer for extended periods
