About the role
Mueller Sports Medicine was established in 1960 by Curt Mueller to fill a need for quality products for use in athletic training rooms. Over the years, Mueller Sports Medicine has expanded to provide various products and continues to be a family-owned, Wisconsin-based company dedicated to the sole mission of sports medicine. We have over 100 associates, working together as a high-performance team in Prairie du Sac, WI.
Internships usually begin the end of May through early September. Mueller Sports Medicine looks for candidates that are academically strong with a passion for their field of study. An intern can expect to virtually and/or in-person meet with associates, vendors, customers to explore future career opportunities.
Responsibilities
The internship will involve assisting with multiple facets in the IT Space, including Application Support, Process Documentation, Systems Development, and Security Analysis. The intern will also complete an assigned project requiring research, evaluation, planning, and presentation of findings and recommendations to the Executive team. Additionally, the intern will perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, scanning, etc.
- Field Specific: 90% of the position will involve assisting with multiple facets in the IT Space
- Administrative: 10% of the position will involve performing administrative duties
Qualifications
- Completed one year of post-high school education and enrolled for the fall semester at a technical college or four-year university
- Pursuing a degree in a field of study related to the area of the internship
- Have a grade point average sufficient to be considered in good academic standing
- Ability to understand and comply with Mueller Safety Systems and current regulatory requirements
Preferred qualifications include previous work experience or internships in the field or a related field of the internship.

Physical Requirements
The team member is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills, ability to stand or sit, bend or stoop, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment, and read.
