Information Technology Delivery Manager

This position may be eligible for a telework opportunity in accordance with departmental policies and operational needs. Employees are currently required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. Additional in-office days may be required based on operational needs. The office is located in downtown Sacramento. All employees must provide valid work authorization per Form I-9.

About the Role

California’s statewide Cradle-to-Career Data System has launched. You will help build a statewide system that brings together existing data to address barriers to opportunity from early learning, through K-12, college, and career. As the Delivery Manager, you will ensure data projects are executed smoothly, predictably, and in alignment with business goals. You will coordinate priorities across stakeholders, translate business needs into actionable work for engineering teams, remove delivery obstacles, manage timelines and scope, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Your focus will be on operational excellence to ensure quality, reliability, and efficient workflows while keeping the team aligned, supported, and continuously improving.

You will also have responsibility for the information security of the C2C Data System and the Office itself, including:

• Development Lifecycle Management: Support DevSecOps practices by ensuring pipelines, automation, and controls align with delivery needs and security requirements. Communicate and coordinate periodic code reviews.
• Project Management: Develop, maintain, and monitor scope, schedule, and cost of projects to ensure milestones, deliverables, and dependencies stay on track. Identify and document risks and issues.
• Security & Privacy Management: Review security and privacy policies and procedures to ensure project activities comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Sprint Management: Oversee the full sprint cycle, ensuring teams have clear goals, dependencies identified, and work sequenced for successful delivery.

Pay

$11,388.00 - $13,842.00/month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
