Information Technology Business Consultant

About the role

The Information Technology Business Consultant is a full-time, remote role focused on helping clients align their technology strategies with business goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and designing IT solutions that improve efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to conduct assessments, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in systems, workflows, and digital tools.
• Prepare presentations and reports, supporting implementation activities and collaborating with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and scalable.
• Monitor project progress, help manage risks, and contribute to continuous improvement of consulting methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and evaluating business and technical options.
• Knowledge of information technology domains, including systems, software, and digital solutions relevant to business operations.
• Experience in business process review and optimization, including mapping workflows and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Background in management consulting and business analysis, with the ability to translate business needs into technology requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies, and familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery approaches.
