Role Responsibilities
- Define and evolve reference architecture and integration patterns for data and analytics solutions across Medline’s ecosystem
- Evaluate new features, capabilities, and tools; assess fit within Medline’s technology ecosystem, including clear articulation of trade-offs and recommendations
- Build and maintain decision matrices and evaluation criteria to enable consistent tool and feature adoption decisions
- Provide technology leadership to implementation teams, unblocking delivery by resolving architecture and engineering obstacles
- Collaborate with Cloud & Infrastructure Architects and Enterprise Architecture to design compliant, well-governed, supportable solutions that meet enterprise standards
- Present and participate in design review forums, such as SRB, TRB, DARB, and technology discussions with leadership to drive alignment and informed decisions
- Manage technology risks by tracking them effectively and supporting mitigation planning through clear inputs and options for leaders
- Conduct architectural reviews of solutions proposed by delivery teams and provide actionable feedback to improve quality and consistency
- Apply well-architected fundamentals—stability, resilience, scalability, security, and cost optimization—to solution designs and reviews
- Use AI-assisted techniques and tools to enhance solution delivery, accelerate analysis, and improve team productivity
- Stay current with evolving cloud, data, and analytics technologies; continuously evaluate opportunities to improve Medline’s technology strategy and posture
Required Skills
- Strong experience designing solutions in the Azure Data & Analytics ecosystem (e.g., Microsoft Fabric/Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, Event Hubs/streaming, Purview, Power BI)
- Self-driven and self-managing; able to operate with limited direction and handle multiple priorities
- Able to understand and clearly articulate goals, objectives, and problem statements
- Methodical approach from problem to solution options to recommendation, including trade-off analysis and decision documentation
- Accountable and takes ownership of recommendations, ensuring they are supported through implementation to successful fruition
- Willingness to be hands-on as needed (PoCs, prototypes, spike investigations) to validate feasibility and accelerate delivery
- Very strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills; ability to work across teams and within delivery squads
- Quick learner with strong affinity for learning new technologies and translating them into practical adoption guidance
- Comfort working with implementation teams in their SDLC model (Scrum, Kanban, and/or waterfall) and participating in key ceremonies as needed
