Information Systems Security Officer Level 1
What You’ll be Owning
- Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
- Aid in the preparation and maintenance of documentation
- Aid in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
- Aid in the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system
- Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
- Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program
- Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, or enclave
- Develop and update the system security plan and other IA documentation
- Administer the user identification and authentication mechanism of the Information System (IS)
What You Must Have
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Most recent poly in the last 7 years.
- IAT level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and five (5) years of ISSO experience or nine (9) years' experience in lieu of degree.

For Maryland, the pay range is $134,000 - $144,000 USD.
