Information Systems Security Engineer

The Undersea Technology Portfolio, within SPA's Sea, Land, & Air Division, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies for emerging technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across undersea, naval special warfare, and expeditionary warfare enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Support NAVSEA’s PMS 340 office by overseeing cybersecurity compliance.
- Manage system authorization activities and ensure adherence to DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies.
- Maintain RMF documentation and coordinate security assessments.
- Advise program leadership on cyber risks.
- Ensure systems remain secure throughout their lifecycle while supporting operational mission needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience aligned with senior ISSM responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST controls, and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting NAVSEA programs or Navy afloat/expeditionary systems (desired).
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+) (desired).
- Strong ability to develop, review, and maintain cybersecurity documentation and brief senior stakeholders.

Pay
Salary range: USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000.00/Yr. (Hawaii). Salaries are commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
