Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSA)

About the role

The Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSA) is responsible for ensuring the security of company data and systems. This includes monitoring network activity, implementing security policies, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network activity and report any suspicious behavior
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate with IT teams
• Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions
• Stay updated on emerging threats and implement countermeasures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
• Experience with network security tools and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred
• Knowledge of common security protocols and standards
• Experience with incident response and forensics

Skills

• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
