Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)/Systems Administrator
Responsibilities
- Update internal processes to increase Information Security Team efficiencies.
- Document current and future Linux and Microsoft network architectures and coordinate with the Information Systems Security Manager and Facility Security Officer on networking issues affecting production efforts.
- Develop and update robust cybersecurity policies to ensure system security.
- Administer security measures to ensure compliance with government authorization requirements.
- Maintain and administer network using tools like Trellix, Splunk, and Veritas Backup Exec, and Nessus.
- Perform configuration and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers through Ansible scripting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot closed Windows Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) network environment.
- Review and audit event logs, create system backups, monitor system performance, and maintain system security and overall compliance.
- Knowledge on the use of STIG Viewer and SCAP, and Create OS/SW baselines.
- Ability to use Powershell scripting to accomplish/automate tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 4 years of relevant experience in Cyber Security policies and Server experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Advanced Microsoft Windows 11 proficiency.
- Linux and Microsoft servers experience.
- Experience with Splunk and Veritas Backup Exec Servers.
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches and Triplite/APC Uninterruptible Power Supply systems.
- Robust network troubleshooting experience.
- IAT Certifications: CompTIA’s Security +, Network +, or ISC2’s – CISSP.
Pay
Salary Range: $114,000 - $142,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
