Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce information systems security policies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Perform Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) management, remediation, and reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and update system security documentation, including SSPs and C&A artifacts.
  • Collaborate closely with the ISSM to uphold the program’s IA posture.
  • Maintain the operational security posture for assigned information systems.
  • Conduct security evaluations to ensure systems meet all certification and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain technical records for workstations, servers, network devices, and security appliances.
  • Analyze cyber threats and develop strategies for incident detection, reporting, and remediation.
  • Manage security-related configuration changes across software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Support evaluation and deployment of security solutions for multi-classification environments.
  • Develop, update, and enforce system-specific security policies.
  • Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms for assigned systems.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on ISSO experience supporting secure system operations in isolated, connected, and standalone environments.
  • 5+ years supporting the preparation and maintenance of SSPs and other security documentation.
  • 5+ years administering tools supporting IAVA management.
  • Proven experience with security tools, hardware/software security implementation, encryption technologies, and communication protocols.
  • Extensive experience evaluating software architectures and systems for compliance with security requirements.
  • Background implementing and enforcing security policies on large-scale software or IT programs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering day-to-day security operations for complex systems.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and committed to best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience supporting large-scale software development or integration programs.
