Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with Security Clearance

About the role

The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible for ensuring that the organization's information systems are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. This position requires a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Conduct security assessments and audits
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry security regulations
• Respond to security incidents and breaches
• Train and educate employees on security best practices

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
• Experience with security risk management frameworks such as NIST SP 800-37
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage security programs and projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and encryption solutions

Skills

• Knowledge of ITIL and ISO 27001
• Experience with incident response and forensics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Understanding of cloud security and compliance
