Information System Security Officer
Job Description
Parsis is looking for an ISSO to join our team. The role involves working closely with information system users, providing training on the use of information systems, and interacting frequently with the program team as partners. Key responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and assisting with the implementation of information system security policies, procedures, and standards; working with all aspects of RMF documentation; ensuring systems are protected from unauthorized access, misuse, or compromise; reporting directly to the ISSM; and working with system administrators to maintain an acceptable risk posture.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop, maintain, and assist with the implementation of information system security policies, procedures, and standards
- Work with all aspects of RMF documentation, including updating artifacts, documentation, and tracking POA&M statuses to guide systems through the RMF lifecycle
- Ensure systems they are responsible for are protected from unauthorized access, misuse, or compromise
- Report directly to the ISSM and work directly with the System administrators to ensure an acceptable risk posture is maintained by completing continuous monitoring activities
- Provide training on the use of information systems and interact frequently with the program team as partners
- Play a key role in the operation of DOD accredited information systems, enabling the success of critical national security objectives
Required Skills
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have 5+ years experience and/or equivalent professional experience
- Candidate must be at least IAM I/IATT II, Security+ CE, or other certification
- Candidate must be familiar with US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM/32 CFR, JSIG)
- Experience with RMF accreditation process is required
- Must have an active DOD Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with JSIG, DAAPM/DAAG
- Experience with DARPA ATO process
- Experience working internal and external customers to include military, USG civilians, and other DOD contractors
- Experience with virtualization technologies and knowledge of their concepts would be preferred
Security Clearance Requirement
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $88,400.00 - $154,700.00.
