Information System Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Hands on cybersecurity support for implementing and enforcing Information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Aid in preparation and maintenance of documentation and systems for security accreditations
• Think creatively to evaluate and support the implementation of security solutions that meet security requirements for processing classified information
• Develop and update the system security plan and other Information Assurance (IA) documentation
• Show confidence in working on enterprise-scale cybersecurity systems and driving positive impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Four years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification is required
• Security+ certification is required
• Ten years of experience is required

Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate with others to determine root cause
• Strong communication and requirements solicitation skills. Translate from technical development teams to end user customers and vice versa in capturing meaningful metrics and monitoring baselines and helping lead adaptations to those baselines over time to best meet customer needs.

Physical Requirements

• Standard office environment with occasional requirements to visit client sites, labs, or field environments.
