Information System Security Officer

About the role

The Information Systems Security Officer 1 is responsible for ensuring the security of company data and systems. They are involved in risk assessments, implementing security protocols, and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conducts risk assessments and implements security measures to protect company assets.
• Monitors system activity and reports suspicious behavior to the IT department.
• Develops and maintains security policies and procedures.
• Responds to security incidents and assists in their resolution.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure compliance with security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security or a related field.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with network security, encryption, and access control systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

$50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
