Responsibilities
- Review proposed publications for public release, enforcing all relevant security policies.
- Aid in the INFOSEC education program, providing guidance on proper classification marking (Classified and CUI).
- Support the development of Security Classification Guides (SCGs) and monitor OCA annual training requirements.
- Develop and maintain liaison with the ONR contract office and CORs to manage the Industrial Security Program.
- Review DD Form 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications, and provide guidance to CORs and Program Managers.
- Perform FDR duties for ONR, including coordinating with the FDO on FVRs, making recommendations on information release, and conducting foreign disclosure training.
- Advise senior leadership on regulations governing the access, dissemination, and safeguarding of classified and CUI information.
- Cook up with subject matter experts to assess information sensitivity and risk and assist in preventing and reporting security violations.
Qualifications
- An associate's degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of relevant experience as a security specialist, or a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and three (3) years of relevant experience as a security specialist.
- Functional knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or other automated database system.
- Functional knowledge of Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS).
