Information Security Officer - Transport Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to lead cyber security, risk, compliance, and security improvements within the Transport sector. As the primary security advisor, you will collaborate with executive, operational, engineering, and technology teams to embed security best practices across IT and OT environments, including critical infrastructure assets like SCADA and industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cyber risk management, security governance, and compliance with the SOCI Act.
• Support audits, incident preparedness, and resilience initiatives.
• Lead risk assessments and implement security controls.
• Ensure regulatory adherence and foster a security-aware culture.

Requirements

• Proven senior cyber security leadership experience.
• Familiarity with OT environments, including SCADA and industrial systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant qualifications in cyber security or related fields.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly regarded.
• Security clearance or ability to obtain one is advantageous.
