Information Security Engineer – Encryption & CipherTrust SME

Contract position (12 months with extension) available in Charlotte, NC; Chandler, AZ; or Columbus, OH. Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE).
• Lead infrastructure and firmware upgrade projects, including testing, implementation, and change/incident management.
• Provide technical mentorship, create standards/documentation, and guide best practices for junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex encryption and OS-level issues across Linux and Windows environments.
• Harden and tune operating systems to optimize CipherTrust agent performance.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and other tools.

Requirements

• Information Security Engineering experience.
• Experience with Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption.
• OS-level administration experience (Linux, Unix, Windows) including troubleshooting, hardening, and tuning.
• Scripting/automation experience (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience with HSMs or security appliance devices.

Pay

Between $68 - $72 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
