About the role
The Information Governance Senior Analyst is an integral part of Latham & Watkins' Information Governance team. They will coordinate all primary functions of the Information Governance Operations team, including file management, file intake, file releases, destruction requests, data access requests, case room management, and records retention. This role will be based in the Houston office and requires occasional travel to the Austin office.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to enhance the Information Governance program.
- Consult firm personnel on appropriate data storage locations.
- Provide guidance and training on information governance questions.
- Coordinate and perform all aspects of Information Governance processes, including file intakes, releases, destructions, and data access procedures.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and complete relevant processes.
- Organize files, follow offsite storage procedures, and maintain records regarding file disposition.
- Protect and maintain sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of information governance, data security, and privacy principles.
- Display excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the department's physical and electronic resources and the ability to articulate the role of effective space management.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Governance or Records.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Information Governance or Records experience.

Pay
USD $90,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
