Information Assurance Compliance Specialist II with Security Clearance

About the role

Responsible for ensuring compliance with information assurance standards and regulations. Conducts assessments, reviews policies, and implements corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Conducts security assessments and reviews compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Reviews and updates policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitors systems and networks for vulnerabilities and ensures timely remediation.
• Develops and implements security training programs for staff.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address security issues and improve overall information security posture.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information assurance, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Experience with NIST 800 series publications and other relevant compliance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, and data protection principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with incident response and threat detection tools.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and secure data handling practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
