Atlas Tech is seeking an Information Assurance Analyst Intern to join the Information Systems Security Engineering team to perform analysis and evaluation of the Information Security of Naval software systems. The analyst will be responsible for assisting in the technical implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) services by conducting cybersecurity and risk assessments on systems to identify and mitigate technical and non-technical vulnerabilities. You Will: Perform analysis and evaluation to design, implement, test and field secure systems, networks, and architecturesEvaluate information systems security policies ensuring system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the acquisition and Information System (IS) lifecycleConduct vulnerability scans, reports, asset creation/modification, and policy creation/modification using ACAS Security CenterCollaborate with engineers to remediate identified vulnerabilities or develop mitigationsConduct certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) policyNotify PORs, developers and Subject Matter Experts of CYBERCOM IAV announcementsImplement and apply DoD, DoN, CNSS, and NIST policy, instruction, and requirementsUpdate technical publications such as Technical Plans, Analyses and Reports, Risk Assessments, Cybersecurity Strategy, Test Plans, procedures and reports, System Security Plans, checklist, Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and related documentation You Have: U.S. CitizenshipA minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire dateDoD 8140\8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II, e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireKnowledge of security engineering, design concepts, and principlesExperience with modern networks, operating systems, databases, and virtual computingMaintain Cybersecurity awareness throughout developmentExperience Identifying and resolving issues encountered during testingThe capacity to collaborate with systems, network, and software SMEs to gather informationThe ability to maintain data integrity and cyber complianceStrong customer relations, documentation, and oral communication skillsSelf-Motivated, strong work ethic, and commitment to qualityPossess passion for providing quality and technically sound solutionsAbility to multi-task and balance multiple goals and prioritiesActively enrolled in an Information Assurance or Cybersecurity degree program at an accredited university or technical college We’d be Impressed if You Had: Experience with general networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSPF, etc.)Experience with Agile and ScrumIndustry Certifications In addition to a great culture at Atlas Tech, we pride ourselves on our Core Values of Learning; Teaching; Passion; and Flexibility.
