We are seeking a highly motivated leader to advance our distribution modernization strategy by delivering innovative solutions that support marketers and producers across all business segments. You will help optimize the distribution experience by improving communication, fostering experimentation, and expanding associates' skill sets—while balancing enterprise priorities.

About the role

The DO Producer Management team sits at the intersection of business and technology—ensuring the tools, data, and experiences that support distribution are modern, reliable, and aligned to evolving needs.

  • Enabling Producer & Marketer Success: Deliver solutions that simplify doing business with Mutual, improve access to information, and support growth across all distribution channels.
  • Driving Business-Aligned Outcomes: Partner with business leadership to translate strategy into clear, measurable technology outcomes focused on business value.
  • Leading Modernization: Advance producer management capabilities through digitization, improved data access, and adoption of AI and automation.
  • Building High-Performing Teams: Lead teams that balance operational stability with transformation while fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthening Alignment: Collaborate across IS domains, ARTs, and business partners to ensure cohesive delivery and reduce friction across the producer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Broad Enterprise Exposure: Work across multiple ARTs, platforms, and IS teams.
  • Direct Business Impact: Drive solutions that improve producer experience and enable distribution growth.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Engage with diverse stakeholders and drive alignment at scale.
  • Strategic Visibility: Operate in a role closely connected to enterprise priorities and outcomes.

  • Drive Technology Modernization: Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture and corporate standards.
  • Deliver Technology Solutions: Lead decision-making, problem-solving, and risk mitigation.

  • Build Partnerships: Cultivate relationships, support SDLC best practices, and remove obstacles to enable sustainable delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership or people management experience leading engineering and platform teams and initiatives.
  • Proven experience delivering complex teams within a SAFe Agile environment, including PI planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-ART coordination.
  • Strong technical acumen and AI fluency with the ability to define and execute legacy modernization strategies, balancing architectural transformation with business priorities, risk, and owning solution outcomes.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, with an understanding of regulatory, security, and operational constraints.
  • Solid foundation in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) with demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Experience managing third-party/vendor partnerships and distributed delivery teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging, encouraging diverse perspectives, active listening, and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable high-speed internet and be based in the United States or Puerto Rico; quarterly travel to Omaha, NE required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the insurance and/or financial services industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Mainframe and/or Java.
  • Project Management (PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Insurance-related certifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU).

Pay

Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications): $150,000 - $165,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

Schedule

This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.
