About the role
The Information Security Specialist will provide technical support and assistance to ensure the security of University systems and data.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to ensure the security of University systems and data.
- Perform system and network vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in their resolution.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and students.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- One or more related certifications preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT security or a related field.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
