Position Highlights

Nebraska Medicine is offering an exciting opportunity for an Infectious Diseases (ID)-trained pharmacist to join their outreach program called Nebraska ASAP (Antimicrobial Stewardship Assessment and Promotion).

About the Role

This individual will work alongside the current Pharmacist Program Coordinator, ASAP Medical Directors, and the Nebraska DHHS Healthcare-Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) program on statewide antimicrobial stewardship efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to provide the best care available in the region.
  • Partner with the Nebraska DHHS Healthcare-Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) program on statewide antimicrobial stewardship efforts.
  • Lead the world in transforming lives to create a healthy future for all individuals and communities through premier educational programs, innovative research, and extraordinary patient care.
  • Public speaking, the development of engaging educational content, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders is essential.
  • Interest in research and publication is strongly encouraged.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years clinical practice experience in the clinical specialty or an ASHP accredited postgraduate year two (PGY2) residency.
  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
  • Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required.

Qualifications

  • Formally trained and have significant experience in Infectious Diseases pharmacy practice.
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.

Skills

Public speaking, the development of engaging educational content, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders is essential. Interest in research and publication is strongly encouraged.

Pay

$135,000.00 - $165,000.00 Annually

Schedule

Full Time and benefits eligible (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
