About the role
The Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention & Control will lead the development and implementation of infection prevention and control programs across the organization. This role will also serve as an Assistant/Associate Professor within the Department of Pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections
- Provide expert consultation and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices
- Conduct research and publish findings related to infection prevention and control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in infectious diseases
- Experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and train staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Public Health or related field
- Experience teaching medical students or residents
- Knowledge of healthcare policy and regulations
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
