About the role

The Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention & Control will lead the development and implementation of infection prevention and control programs across the organization. This role will also serve as an Assistant/Associate Professor within the Department of Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections
• Provide expert consultation and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices
• Conduct research and publish findings related to infection prevention and control
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in infectious diseases
• Experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and train staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Public Health or related field
• Experience teaching medical students or residents
• Knowledge of healthcare policy and regulations

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
