About the role

The Department of Medicine is seeking an infectious disease specialist in the Academic Clinical emphasis track to join the faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine (IDIM) at the University of Minnesota. IDIM is dedicated to transforming the field through exceptional clinical care, research, and education, guided by core values of respect, compassion, equity, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing the inpatient Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) and Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) Infectious Diseases consult services
  • Seeing outpatients referred to the Transplant Infectious Diseases clinic
  • Serving on the inpatient general infectious disease consult service, including telemedicine
  • Participating in the antibiotic management team services
  • Teaching students and residents who rotate on the infectious diseases consult service
  • Establishing and/or collaborating on clinical research studies

Requirements

  • A medical (DO, MD, MBBS, etc.) degree
  • Board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine
  • Completed fellowship training (or equivalent) in Infectious Diseases

Pay

Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $205,000 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
