About the role

The Pharmacist delivers safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical care, developing and monitoring evidence-based pharmacotherapy plans to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care within designated patient care areas, ensuring resource coordination for efficient service.
• Interpret and clarify physicians' medication orders, review medication profiles for safety, effectiveness, and interactions.
• Recommend formulary alternatives, advise healthcare professionals on drug therapy issues, and monitor lab results.
• Offer drug information to medical staff, conduct discharge consultations, and participate in patient rounds.
• Calculate dosages, verify prescriptions, and prepare compounded or sterile medications.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, students, and interns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to resolve pharmacy-related problems and contribute to policy updates.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required; a Master's is preferred.
