Infectious Disease Physician – Northern New Jersey
About the role
IDCare, a nationally recognized leader in infectious diseases, antibiotic stewardship, infection prevention, and travel medicine, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our team at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown and Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice across two leading tertiary-care and teaching hospitals within the Atlantic Health System, supported by a multidisciplinary team and a robust practice infrastructure. You will join a highly collegial group of over 60 infectious disease specialists dedicated to clinical excellence, quality improvement, and advancing the science of infectious diseases. Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation for infectious diseases at assigned hospitals and clinics
- Participate in antibiotic stewardship initiatives
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists in the management of complex infections, including transplant and healthcare-associated infections
- Engage in academic and teaching opportunities with residents, students, and fellows
- Contribute to quality improvement programs across the health system
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Infectious Disease fellowship
- Board Certified or Eligible in Infectious Disease
- Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey
- Strong clinical acumen and excellent communication skills
