About the role

Infection Preventionist/ Staff Development RN Nurse at Oakwood Health and Rehab Center (Highland Ridge Rehab Center). Full‑time position in Nursing Administration focused on clinical excellence, staff development, and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance (QA): Monitor, audit, and enhance clinical systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Staff Development Coordinator (SDC): Plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs and onboarding for nursing staff.
• Infection Preventionist (IP): Lead infection control efforts, maintain compliance with CDC & CMS guidelines, and promote a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (VA)
• 2+ years in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long‑Term Care
• Certification or experience in Infection Control & Staff Education preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
