About the role
The Infection Preventionist (IP) at Rosegate Village is responsible for implementing measures to protect residents and staff from infections. This includes assessing staff education needs, coordinating training programs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Effectively educate healthcare staff and patients about infection prevention practices.
- Lead and motivate staff to adhere to infection prevention protocols.
- Monitor, track, and analyze data related to infections, immunizations, and antibiotic use.
- Create a supportive and engaging environment for residents.
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain one.
- Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training through the CDC (provided at this facility upon hire).
- Advanced training in infection prevention and control.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values towards residents, family members, customers, and staff.
