About the role
This is a full-time Infection Preventionist position based in Glenview, IL, with a Monday–Friday schedule plus on-call rotation, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Oversee infection control measures
- Conduct surveillance and investigate infection clusters
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Perform rounds and collaborate with departments
- Communicate with health authorities
- Develop policies
- Provide staff training
- Support infection risk strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, or Public Health required; Master’s preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in infectious diseases
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within two years
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical records systems
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license required
