Responsibilities

• Direct a comprehensive infection prevention program by planning and evaluating evidence-based control measures to mitigate risks and enhance patient safety.
• Lead rigorous surveillance and epidemiological investigations to identify infection sources, implementing rapid containment strategies for known or suspected outbreaks.
• Ensure 100% compliance with local, state, and federal public health regulations by analyzing evolving standards and managing mandatory disease reporting to government authorities.
• Collaborate on the delivery of specialized clinical education and participate in epidemiological studies to evaluate new care delivery methods and the impact of emerging health products.

Requirements

• Certified Certification specializing in Infection Control credentialed from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
