Infection Preventionist

Responsibilities

• Lead infection prevention and control efforts in skilled nursing and long-term care settings.
• Design and manage surveillance systems, analyze infection data, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
• Conduct staff education and develop policies.
• Investigate outbreaks and ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state regulations.
• Collaborate across disciplines to promote clinical excellence and safeguard residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Nursing licensure (RN).
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention.
• Data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to standards.
