About the role
The role at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics involves reducing the risk of infections among patients and staff. It is a part-time position that works 40 hours per pay period.
Responsibilities
- Establish and analyze infection control patient safety.
- Develop an operational system for documenting, recording illnesses and/or injuries, and educating physicians, employees, and the community on infection prevention control.
- Facilitate a facility-wide control plan.
- Participate in antimicrobial stewardship.
- Other duties as assigned by the department leader.
Requirements
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
- Current BLS with ACLS and PALS within one year.
- Mandatory reporter training.
- One year infection control experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Required to complete all annual competency training and maintain license and/or certification.
