About the role
As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you will lead efforts to prevent, identify, and control infections while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Identify, investigate, monitor, and report trends in healthcare-associated infections to support timely intervention and prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with facility leadership, clinical teams, and staff to implement and sustain effective infection prevention and control practices.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all infection prevention and control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control initiatives to reduce risk and improve resident and staff safety.
- Provide staff with education and training on infection prevention practices to ensure awareness and adherence to established protocols.
- Participate in the facility’s Quality Assessment and Assurance (QAA) committee to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Conduct surveillance activities, audits, and assessments to monitor infection control effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a resource and subject-matter expert on infection prevention guidance across the organization.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
- Associate degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field required.
- Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control is required.
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to educate and influence staff at all levels.

Pay
$35-$42/hour (all-inclusive). Same Day Pay option available. Option to add $3/hour to your base salary if you choose to waive benefits.
