About the role
As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you will conduct rounds, discuss and monitor infection prevention practices with staff members, collect infection data from departments, maintain records for each case of healthcare-associated infection, conduct outbreak investigations, train staff members on implementation of infection prevention practices, investigate incidents of infections and report such incidents to the appropriate person/departments, and ensure availability of supplies required for infection prevention activities.
Responsibilities

- Investigate incidents of infections and report to the appropriate person/departments
- Ensure availability of supplies required for infection prevention activities
Requirements
- Active, and in good standing, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Prior experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
- One year of prior experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Prior Infection Control experience required
- Infection Control certification preferred
