Infection Prevention Nurse LPN/RN

About the role

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for one or multiple centers' Infection Prevention and Control Program. You will function as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator for all staff, focusing on Infection Prevention & Control Activities, Outbreak Management, Employee Health, and Outcome & Process Surveillance. This includes identifying, investigating, analyzing, controlling, and reporting infections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Complies with Federal and state regulations.
• Adheres to standards set by Administration (OSHA), Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology (APIC), Association of Occupational Health Professionals (AOHP), and other regulatory agencies.
• Prioritizes Infection Prevention goals.
• Collaborates with Department managers and medical directors in implementing aspects of the Infection Prevention Program when requested or as needed.

Requirements

• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management and prevention control.

RN license preferred but not required.
