Responsibilities
- Administer the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
- Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of acquired infections among residents, staff, and guests.
- Manage and administer the centers COVID/Flu testing schedules as needed.
- Educate staff on CDC updates and ensure staff are educated in proper use of PPE.
- Serve as the center's knowledge specialist in CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards, as well as federal and state regulations related to infection prevention and control in skilled nursing facilities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1+) years nursing experience in Long-Term Care / Sub-Acute Care Nursing.
- Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification within 5 days of employment.
