About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated LPN to join our team as an Infection Prevention Control Officer in a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation/sub-acute care nursing center. Our leadership team is dedicated to empowering and nurturing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment, and maintaining a clean and efficient workplace.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Infection Prevention and Control Program
• Identify, investigate, report, prevent, and control the spread of acquired infections among residents, staff, and guests
• Manage and administer the center's COVID/Flu testing schedules as needed
• Educate staff on CDC updates
• Ensure staff are educated in proper use of PPD
• Serve as the center's knowledge specialist in CDC, Joint Commission, and Occupational Health standards, as well as federal and state regulations related to infection prevention and control in skilled nursing facilities

Qualifications

• Active LPN Licensure in the state of practice
• Two (2) or more years' experience as an Infection Preventionist or related healthcare professional with knowledge of infection prevention and control, microbiology, infectious diseases, and epidemiology in patient care practices
• CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment
