As an Infection Control Nurse (LPN), you'll combine hands-on nursing care with infection prevention efforts to help maintain a safe, healthy environment for patients and staff. Position Summary Under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing and guidance of the Infection Control Nurse/Coordinator, you'll provide direct patient care while supporting infection prevention, education, and compliance initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with infection prevention activities, identifying infection trends, investigating concerns, and evaluating potential infectious disease exposures Educating healthcare and correctional staff on infection control practices, safety procedures, and established protocols Performing patient assessments, administering medications, providing treatments, and assisting with individualized care plans under appropriate clinical supervision Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care and address infection control concerns Monitoring patient conditions, documenting nursing encounters, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records Promoting infection control standards, environmental sanitation, patient safety, and compliance with facility policies and professional nursing practices You'll go beyond providing nursing care.
