Infants and Waddlers Teacher Assistant

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom
• Create age-appropriate lessons aligned with HighScope Curriculum
• Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
• Establish positive and productive relationships with families and staff
• Ensure that children are well-cared for throughout the day
• Maintain a commitment to professionalism at all times
• Work with families and assess the individual needs of each child
• Physically lift and possibly carry a 40 lbs child (as needed)
• Walk for about 30 minutes around the neighboring park with children in strollers
• Comply with and abide by the program and state/local officials' policies
