Infant/Toddler Teaching Assistant - Part Time

About the role

The Teaching Assistant will join a collaborative classroom team and assist in planning and implementing the daily program; actively supervise the classroom and playgrounds; and observe, interact, and engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper adult to child ratios with each age grouping and classroom
• Monitor the playground and classroom at all times
• Helping with meals, and snacks
• Following daily staffing schedule and assisting other classrooms as needed

Requirements

• Experience working with infants and toddlers
• Bachelor's degree in a child related field or a child development/early childhood credential
• Able to lift or carry children weighing up to 25 pounds throughout the course of the day
• Able to regularly bend, stoop and crouch in order to physically interact with children and ensure their safety
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and co-workers

Qualifications

Starting hourly rate is $17.00 per hour and up based on experience. Work day begins at 9:00 am and traditional concludes at 6:00pm, with a 1 hour break. Ample opportunities for professional development are available.
