Description

Join an amazing team of educators at B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center, a partnership between The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. B’nai Jehudah CDC is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that offers full time preschool care for children ages 12 months through 2 years and full time infant care for ages 6 weeks to 1 year. The Teaching Assistant helps to provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Teachers to supervise children, keep the classroom organized, and communicate with parents.

Schedule

Part-time working Monday-Friday 12:30pm-5:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Provide for the health and safety of all children in the school
  • Treat children with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times
  • Support teachers through lesson plan implementation, daily cleaning tasks, and supervision of children
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with parents
  • Maintain KDHE requirements in classrooms at all times
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience working with children (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions
  • Occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching

Pay

$16-18/hr
